Getting your strength back

Living with a chronic illness is challenging at best, especially when there is very little support or understanding of your condition. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have seen an increase in people, particularly younger people, being diagnosed with Chronis fatigue/ ME and Post-COVID Syndrome, or Long COVID.

One of the struggles I hear most from clients is the loss of physical strength and stamina. No exercise regimens or programs I had come across took into account just how weak CFS and Long COVID can leave you or how badly post-exertion-malaise can be: feeling extreme fatigue that is disproportionate to the amount of exercise undertaken 1-3 days after exercising.

I was very happy to find this yoga video specifically designed for the needs of those experiencing CFS and Long COVID. If you try this out, please be very gentle with yourself and for the first session do not push yourself.
